You have 1 missed call

After work a week or so ago, I check my cell to see if I had any missed calls. Only 1! I didn’t recognize the number and just deleted it. Well, then my voicemail notifier chimed. Again, I ignored it, thinking probably someone with the wrong number or an annoying teller marketer trying to sale something. In fact, I made a mental note to add my cell number to the ‘Do not call’ registry.

Well, a few days pasted and I missed a call from my mom and started to listen to my messages and received the shock of my life. It was Harrington Homes asking if we were still interested in building a home on the lot we had “reserved” a year earlier!

So, you ask why so shocked? Because almost a complete year has pasted with our a word from Harrington Homes realtor and as a matter of fact lost contact with our realtor. Shomari and I had driven by the lot a few times but always with the thought I am sure they aren’t holding that lot for us any longer. Little did we know.

I mentioned the message to Shomari that even during our dinner conversation and frankly I was absolutely floored by his reaction. He was very calm, in fact darn near completely detached altogether. This was a shock because when I heard the message I was intrigued to discuss the proposition that Listy had mentioned in the message. And if I was intrigued I assumed that Shomari would be elated because he has been READY to build!

That night he was stated that he didn’t want to return the call. Again, I am completely amazed but I drop it - at least for the evening. The next day I thought about the message and informed Shomari that I was going to call, if only just to hear what they had to say. Well, the conversation went well. We are meeting on Saturday to discuss our ‘vision’.
